Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai on Tuesday wrote"I fear for my Afghan sisters" in an op-ed published in The New York Times in the wake of the Taliban's stunning takeover of Afghanistan.

It capped a staggeringly fast rout of the country's major cities in just 10 days, following two decades of war that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. The Taliban led a pariah regime from 1996 to 2001, infamous for a brutal rule in which girls could not go to school, women were barred from working in jobs that would put them in contact with men, and people were stoned to death.

"Afghan girls and young women are once again where I have been - in despair over the thought that they might never be allowed to see a classroom or hold a book again."

I thought I saw the last of this western puppet.... p off

SBS I’m sure the Taliban are concerned with Malala’s oped in the NY Times.

She was shot in the head by the Taliban because she went to school I think she does have a right to express an opinion

Paid actor or hypocritic.

Has she heard of MeToo ?

She is just another actor? There are many women in world have more struggle and living among their people. Stop covering her as an hero

What is doing in order to protect them, everyone us talking so is she.

Had she ever been to Afghanistan when taliban was not in the power..? The answer is NO because that time she was lecturing in western universities to western girls
