Volunteer Helen Sullivan, 46, said she was feeling "pretty excited" about participating in the trial.
Ms Sullivan said she decided to participate to help "get the world back to normal and people back to work". Researchers hope is testing will bump up to about 1000 volunteers if successful to further check and test the drug's efficacy.

Healthy people (99.74%) clear this virus with healthy immune systems. Will volunteers/guinea pigs later involve those with co-morbidities and those aged in their 70/80/90s? If not, why not?
What I don’t get is how they can track its effectiveness on QLD if we keep the virus under control.. surely this needs to be done in VIC somehow instead where the virus is active. If we get more cases that obviously changes things.
