The Human Rights Commission has warned that the federal government's growing reliance on artificial intelligence and automated decisions is dangerous and will increasingly put vulnerable Australians at risk | fergushunter

The Human Rights Commission has warned that the federal government's growing reliance on artificial intelligence and automated decisions is dangerous and will increasingly put vulnerable Australians at risk.

"If the decision was opaque, you're left with that unsettling feeling there's nothing really you can do with it, you can't find out whether in fact the decision was lawful or unlawful," he said. Mr Santow, who is leading the commission's human rights and technology project, said people in the oversight process had to be properly equipped to understand and dispute automated decisions, not just "tick and flick".

Uyghurs call for 2022 Beijing Winter Games to be relocatedAn exiled Uyghur group calls for the International Olympic Committee to reconsider hosting the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing over human rights abuses. That will help their situation. abcnews While I agree that if the Olympics can be moved to another location do it, otherwise boycotting the Olympics will only hurt the athletes! I wonder why other Muslims care more about their right to Sharia in The West, than for the safety of their fellow Muslim Uighurs in China?
