Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is likely to make a mammoth profit from the sale of his rental property in Sydney's inner west after his four-year tenant spoke out about his eviction. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is set to make big bucks from the sale of his investment property in Sydney's inner west after recently handing his tenant an eviction notice.
It has now emerged Mr Albanese could bring in a $1 million profit from the looming sale of the townhouse, which he bought back in 2015 for $1.175 million. "From time to time... people’s personal circumstances change and my personal circumstances and their changing have been pretty public," he said. "He’s lived there for four years, other people were there at the time and his personal circumstances have changed."
It is understood Mr Albanese has kept the rent at $680 per week on the townhouse since COVID-19, which had decreased from a rate of $800.
