Increased exposure and newfound popularity in holiday parks has meant booking early in order to reserve your spot is critical. 9News

"This time last year we had Sydney and Victoria both locked up in their homes and they couldn't travel, their bookings were being cancelled," Hewett toldHewett said he is grateful for the support of Queenslanders during COVID-19 restrictions but is happy to be welcoming all Australians back this Christmas.

"People who can work from their laptop are taking full advantage of that and why not? It's given people a great opportunity to get out there, explore Australia and try new things," Hewett said.He said it's the travel lifestyle that many are attracted to. "We have people coming in the door and it's like, 'we are very sorry, but we just cannot accommodate you'," Illich said.

"When I came here we were looking for a place to live, it was very difficult to find and this is actually the first place we could find to live," Rivas said.
