Hospitals facing 'challenges' as beds fill with COVID-19 patients in NSW

Premier Dominic Perrottet has admitted the state will continue to face "challenges" in hospitals for weeks to come.COVID-19 hospitalisations are rising in Sydney.As of yesterday, 2650 people were in hospital, with 191 in intensive care.

After one week of the NSW vaccination program for five to 11 year olds, 11.5 per cent have that cohort have received their first dose as of yesterday.Health Minister Brad Hazzard told vaccine "disbelievers" to "wake up to yourselves". "The world is telling us that this virus will keep killing us and keep putting us in hospital, unless we get vaccinated," he said.
