NSW Health has issued a number of fresh COVID-19 alerts across after a positive case of COVID-19 travelled on public transport in Sydney's west. 9News

The worker did shifts in the cardiology and radiology wards at Concord Repatriation General Hospital whilst potentially infectious last Tuesday to Thursday .

"The cases are all very close to Berala and investigations are underway," NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said. Officials repeated calls for people in Western Sydney to get tested, saying it's the only way restrictions such as the size of gatherings will be eased again. "We are, of course, dealing with a result of an outbreak from a month ago, but I think everybody would agree that closing a border of such significance is a really big deal," she said.
