WA builder Collier Homes went into liquidation this week – for the second time in eight years – after the company previously owned bySecond-generation builder Dario Amara, who acquired the brand of the Applecross, Perth-based business in 2016 after the liquidation of Mr Day’s building group, called in McGrathNicol liquidators Robert Brauer and Linda Smith this week.
“I have been continually asked why I bought and relaunched a building brand at a time when the industry is at one of its lowest ebbs,” Mr Amara said in The collapse is the latest blow to a well-known WA builder that started in 1959 and has changed ownership four times since then.
