Hobart principal says school only open for students whose parents have 'no other option'

A Hobart school principal is urging parents not to send their children unless they have no other option.A Hobart Catholic school principal says families are unnecessarily sending their children to school

"We understand if you have no option other than to send your child or children to school … That's OK," she wrote. What do I do if I think I have coronavirus? Mr Genford said on-site school attendance statewide averaged about 15 per cent, which was a "manageable" number."Once we start getting above that number, getting towards the 30 per cent mark, then it becomes very difficult for teachers to manage," he said.

The additional restrictions were put in place after the region experienced an explosion in COVID-19 cases associated with outbreaks at the North West Regional Hospital and the North West Private Hospital, which closed both hospitals for a "deep clean". "I want to be clear for all Tasmanians. There are a lot of different messages coming from different jurisdictions, but here in Tasmania you must stay at home unless you're going out for essential reasons."

Teachers are “professionals” when it suits them .. mostly pay rises.. most other times running dogs of their Marxist union bosses

aussiejackie So again the poor.

👏👏👏👏👏👏

Yep... Those dollars are clearly one almighty incentive.

Saw ABC news had a dig at how conservative Bolsonaro has handled Brazil’s covid crisis: population 210 million/6,750deaths. No criticism of Sweden’s socialist left government though: population: 10 million/2,669 deaths And folks ask how Trump wins votes!! Cut the funding now!!

I think the best way to deal with this (understanding it can't) would be to say no worries you don't have to work, but you're not getting paid. Treat these entitled cunts like everyone else in the economy. The teachers union would be responding differently instantly

Kids aren't catching it. The global data on this is emphatic. Taiwan, world leader in response - kept schools open whole time. The next time someone from the left talk about how the right are anti science, I will pay them on their dear little heads and remind them of this.

Tasmania & Victoria have truly lost the plot and both are quick becoming laughingstocks of this country. Their minds are operating in LaLa land. Schools will be open till someone randomly tests positive, then there'll be this whole closing & cleaning drama for 3 days or so.

Get ‘em DanTehanWannon!!! No? Oh, wait...it’s a LNP State Gov. My bad. Carry on. (Spoiler: On InsidersABC this morning, Mr Tehan did carry on.) auspol

He makes sure the wealthy private schools have more than enough for a second sports field or aquatic center etc etc etc...

Why ?

Orwellian.

Why is this news? This is the message PeterGutwein has been communicating for weeks. I work from home and struggling to get work done, because of home educating my kids. But I'm doing it, to keep my family safe & to keep others safe. School will still be there when this is over.

Pathetic! Get the lazy teachers back in the classroom. Get the kids back to school.
