Former governor-general Sir Peter Cosgrove has delivered a chilling warning to people showing antisemitic behaviour towards Australia’s Jewish community.

Sir Peter Cosgrove has delivered a stark message to those people carrying out antisemitic acts targeting Australia’s Jewish community, warning" Hitler would be proud".

Former ASIO director-general Dennis Richardson said while the country is seeing echoes of the 1930s in the boycotting of Jewish businesses and community intimidation, he was confident Australia would overcome this wave."However, I come back to what I've said before, I believe that our democratic institutions are strong enough to withstand this. And I believe we will, in fact, defeat it.

Speaking to Holocaust survivor Yvonne Engelman, Mr Frydenberg asked what she thought about the rise of antisemitism in Australia. "They went to the left, I went to the right. I haven't got a picture. I have nothing. I couldn't even say goodbye."
