"Everyone is screaming for staff," he said. "It's a small community and we're all helping each other because we have to."With bans on international tourism, domestic demand for the holidays in the high country has skyrocketed. Manager of the Silver Brumby lodge in Thredbo village, Emma Vidgen, convinced retiree couple Laura and Peter Taylor to stay on and work breakfast shifts following their summer holidays."People are stretched as far as they can be," Ms Vidgen said.
