HECS-HELP debts are forecast to rise between 4.2 and 4.8 per cent this year, the second-highest rise in a decade.

After a 7.1 per cent increase last year, students have told the ABC they worry they cannot keep up with the repayments.There are calls to reform the way HECS debts are repaid, such as measures that would ensure they don't rise faster than wages.
