‘Heartbreaking’ Zion blow after ‘all-time’ statement as Lakers in blockbuster NBA playoffs rematch

All five of Los Angeles’ starters finished in double figures, with Anthony Davis and LeBron James stepping up as always while D’Angelo Russell continues to produce after draining five 3-pointers in the win. Meanwhile, coach Willie Green made a big call to leave Brandon Ingram, who also struggled to find his usual rhythm on the offensive end, on the bench late.

The Pelicans were finding plenty of success in the paint early in Wednesday’s game but on the defensive side of things struggled to keep up with the Lakers’ ball movement as Los Angeles opened the second quarter on a 9-0 run.
