The Herald's View: Health experts deserve to be trusted on vaccines

Hundreds of thousands of people across NSW face an important decision from next week when the federal government will start the second stage of its COVID-19 vaccination program.

Yet some people might not feel the same sense of urgency as in Europe or the US where the disease is still killing thousands of people each day. Some fear Australia is relying on AstraZeneca because it has not secured enough supplies of the other vaccines, but thetrusts the recommendation of Australian health officials, including NSW Chief Medical Officer Kerry Chant.

This isn’t just a medical problem. It’s a social one. It’s a societal one. We basically trashed overseas Aussie’s basic citizenship right to “come home” to “save” everyone in Aus. 98% of infected get a headache and fever ... so we gave up basic rights to prevent that! 😳

“scientific rigour they showed in controlling the pandemic” ... let’s see ... everyone stay home. Lock overseas Aussies put from returning home. Not exactly rocket science. Easy to say when they aren’t the ones stuck overseas. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Seems like a better idea than let’s trust the wacko quacks.

Morrison has stuffed up the vaccine rollout
