Prime Minister Scott Morrison has enthusiastically welcomed an invitation from Donald Trump to visit Washington DC, praising the United States President as a strong leader who will always "follow through on what he says".
"Australia's relationship with the United States could not be stronger. And it could not be stronger at a more important time for Australia, where we are in our region, where things are at in the world today," Mr Morrison told reporters in Brisbane on Saturday. Mr Morrison received an official invitation from the White House last week for a trip that will involve a formal state dinner and could coincide with the United Nations' General Assembly leaders' week.
Well he did get the Klansmen to take off their hoods at his latest rally. That’s admirable, right?
