Police mark Shrove Tuesday by posting 'pancake art and a stack of puns to social media to drawn attention to wanted suspects.

Surrey Police shared graphics of suspects' faces superimposed on a stack of pancakes, imploring the public to help police"whisk them away".Police followed up the pancake posts with"batter" images of suspects so the public could see them more clearly.

In one post, asking about a man wanted in relation to a series of burglaries, police said:"We would like to establish if he is a crepe-tomaniac?!"Shrove Tuesday is celebrated by some Christian communities by eating pancakes and other fatty foods, before fasting for Lent.
