ANALYSIS: Has the US Federal Aviation Administration forfeited its position as the guardian of world aviation safety?

"Previously, other countries accepted the FAA's word as gospel as to whether planes were safe to fly," he said.Boeing's annual revenue under threat

While relatives and friends of those killed in the two crashes count the human cost, attention is turning to the financial cost, which for Boeing shareholders is already billions of dollars. Boeing shares are down 12 per cent since Sunday's crash, including on Monday, the worst intra-day fall since 9/11, which wiped $US40 billion off the value of the company."I think the 737 MAX 8 is technologically better than any other plane flying," said US analyst Jim Corridore, from research house CFRA.

Boeing has received orders for more than 5,000 737s and 2,639 of them — more than half — are for the MAX 8.

Yes, specially with the 737 MAX, but they will never except the responsibility for their actions, sadly it’s cost so many people their lives in the recent months 🤬🤬🤬🤬

nobody should die because a government authority sits on their hands. The FAA has become captive of the aeroplane manufacturers and airline companies. Self regulation is no regulation as has been proven time and again.

Stop talking about Obama's 'legacy' ABC.

Only until the no-regulation Republicans are voted out of office.

Among other things

Sure seems like it. These people are only interested in themselves.
