Spanish tennis star Roberto Bautista Agut says a private conversation in which he compared his mandatory lockdown in a Melbourne quarantine hotel to prison was taken out of context.
Tennis Australia boss Craig Tiley said some players may have "brushed off" advice that 14-day hard quarantine was on the table if they were close contacts of positive COVID-19 cases. Soon after, tournament organisers disputed the department's numbers, with Mr Tiley suggesting during a press conference that the six cases in the Australian Open contingent were among "player entourages".
