Her mother, father and brother admitted she didn't believe she was a victim of domestic violence. Despite suffering severe burns to 97 per cent of her body, Hannah was able to give first responders a detailed account of how her estranged husband set fire to her car with her children inside. We should think of Hannah Clarke and her children, not the scum who killed them: Kenny | Sky News AustraliaWe should never make a monster into a victim, which is why Bettina Arndt’s comments regarding the murders of Hannah Clarke and her three children are so “horrendous”, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.\n\nMs Clarke was taken to hospital suffering fatal burns after a car containing her three children, who were all aged under 10, was set alight by her estranged husband in the Brisbane suburb of Camp Hill. \n\nMs Ardnt has been widely criticized after she “congratulated” Queensland Media for keeping an open mind about whether Rowan Baxter was “driven too far” by outside forces when he alleged committed this act.\n\nThe detective who first made the comments, Inspector Mark Thompson, stood aside on Thursday after widespread outcry from the public.\n\nMr Kenny said in the wake of this awful tragedy, we should never consider that “this diabolical act can be explained by someone being 'driven too far'.\n\n“Look for triggers, sure, look for ways his rage could have been noted or controlled, look for ways his family could have been better protected, perhaps by his incarceration given his previous behaviour, and yes, perhaps point out we should be just as damning of women who commit these terrible, terrible family murders, but consider he's been driven to this?” Mr Kenny asked.\n\n“No, this can never be countenanced. This is making the monster, a victim.\n\n“And this is maligning the victims.”\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Surely you can mourn the victims but also look into what finally triggered the man to go to this extreme. We can learn from this and watch out for signs next time to prevent similar incidents occuring next time. kennyreport If we want to stop these things happening, need to get to root cause, understand why people male/female behave like this. So need to consider all aspects. No one is questioning the heinous act rather wanting to better identify what has gone wrong in these criminals.
