A bride has been left devastated after floodwaters trapped her at a NSW riverside farmhouse, separating her from her fiancé on their wedding day.

Taree nurse Anya Kerrigen and her fiance James Farrawell planned to marry on Saturday after saving for their dream wedding for three years.

The groom’s brother Daniel Farrawell told news.com.au that family members including grandparents had spent the night in flooded glamping tents and a farmhouse.In a devastating twist of fate, the groom had decided to return to Taree last night to honour the tradition of a couple not spending the night before their wedding together.The groom is in Taree and cannot get to the farmhouse due to floodwaters.
