Comment: Growth of online shopping has made logistics property a winner

E-commerce is on the rise and has driven retailing from mass merchandising to tailored, direct selling.

The boom in e-commerce and the strong demand for high-quality logistics centres has not gone unnoticed by investors. Many are now re-weighting their portfolios away from retail centres into industrial property., industrial and logistics property was voted the most desired sector to invest for the third year in a row.

The rerating of industrial property has driven a sharp decline in industrial yields, resulting in valuation increases and strong returns to investors.

RBA baffled by the tension between a weak economy and strong employmentThe next couple of months data will be crucial to whether interest rates are going up or down Surely that is just a function of how we now report employment. In times past honesty prevailed and employed meant a full time job. These days of you work an hour a week and you are counted as employed. I would have thought that the best measure is how many are underemployed Stagnant wages and a middle and working class increasingly reliant on debt .... now that the rba has solved housing and climate change ... they are moving to tension between employment and weak economy

Australian dollar jumps on strong Chinese reboundHaving looked like it was running out of puff, the world's second-largest economy and Australia's most important trading partner appears to have regained momentum. how do you say that by the way lol Somewhat disappointing when one considers exchange rates are based on actual money flow, not on the quality of the goods exchanged. So far as quality is concerned it is all going one-way, the proliferation of '20 cent' shops proves it.
