Soul of the Catholic Church 'has been grievously wounded from evil of sexual abuse', Melbourne's Archbishop told worshippers on Sunday

The soul of the Catholic Church "has been grievously wounded from the evil of sexual abuse", Melbourne's Archbishop Peter Comensoli told worshippers at St Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday.

Last week Archbishop Comensoli said Pell remained a friend and that he would visit him in prison if Pell was sentenced to jail. "Our readings remind us that things are not always what they seem; that we must look beneath the surface and allow truth and justice to unfold in God's good time." However, a woman who gave her name only as Monica said she felt Archbishop Fisher had struck the right balance.

wtf they managed to be a victims in all this amazing If they really believe in God they should be shitting rheir pants the whole lot of them

Its all about the church. These are evil men, in their own parlance, devils, who have gained control of what should be an enlightening, loving entity.

'Struck the right balance'! Yep. 6 mins of hormonal relief for these bastards, a lifetime of pain for those affected. That's 'balance' georgepell auspol

Time for a inquire into the church for its lies and cover up on sexual abuse ,

What about the victims

The problem with the Catholic Church is that it’s lost it’s way. Just look at the Vatican, the pomp, the ceremony, the robes, the hats, the money, the self importance, the confessional...it’s lost the reason why it existed in the first place. Jesus was a pauper, humble, respected

Yes, by your mate Pell and other Priests.

By whom!

The Catholic Church has no soul.

Why don’t you just form a splinter group if you all are so disappointed with your church! Going to the same church this week means you’re still supporting it?

Any 'grievous wounding' is pretty much self-inflicted. Their main concern all along has been self-preservation. It seems it still is.

when I was thrown into jail Howard Abbott didn't want to know me to this day now both of them are buddy to this Pell kiddy fiddler very strange what money does to politics and the justice system

More to come Pope being investigated in Spain.

But it’s all part of god’s plan, apparently!

What soul?

The soul of the Catholic Church is non-existent in my opinion. If there was a soul in the church, there would have been a vastly different attitude towards the commission on childhood sexual abuse, and their clergy would have shown extreme compassion and remorse.

I think that one or two children may have been 'grievously wounded' as well.
