The Greens say they will not support a Coalition government in New South Wales, but the Labor Party still needs to convince them it is 'worth supporting' after this month's election.

Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.Cate Faehrmann labels NSW election an 'opportunity to make change' at Greens' campaign launchabc.net.au/news/greens-seek-balance-of-power-after-nsw-election/102084236The Greens say they will not support a Coalition government if the party holds the balance of power after this month's New South Wales election.

At a campaign launch today, the NSW Greens outlined a list of seven priorities for the next parliament including banning no-grounds evictions, action to address climate change, and gambling reforms. More than half of candidates on the party's upper house ticket are women, as are all of its candidates for "winnable" lower house seats.

Ms Faehrmann said if the Greens did hold the sway of power after the election, they would not settle for "half measures" such as a "trial that has been set up to fail".

People who vote for the Greens and teals are giving the power to LABOR .... Don't do it ... think of the Obeid/Tripodi/Keneally labor government and where they are all now !!

They are all but useless. They rely on the weak of mind and will for votes.

If the Greens hold the balance of power, the ABC will say its a good thing and is democracy in action. If it's One Nation, then it's terrible and democracy is broken.

Dangerous people.

Greens weak as piss🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Yes please

What could go wrong? Just look at Greens mess in the federal parliament

AdamBandt I haven't trusted Greens since 2009. Seen nothing to change that distrust

Can’t be any worse than what we’ve been having

Actually if the ABC was paying attention they’d realise the balance of power, in the upper house will go to One Nation.

And yet our national broadcaster won’t address the elephant in the room. Here we have the former deputy premier, John Barilaro, literally caught on tape bragging about pork barreling. Yet not a peep from the ABC.

I was going to say stupid hey I forgot indoctrination.

That's a shame. Voters need to be more decisive and endorse one party or another. Australia has been plagued by minority governments for far too long. It means rule by fringe groups and endless compromise. You wouldn't run a business that way and Australia Inc. is no different.

This is fantastic... Finally a party that cares about society and the environment is getting the power... ...LOVING all the uneduccated Boomers having sh1t-fits about it!

Don't vote for any party. VoteIndependent

Good luck NSW you'll need it.

Let them screw another State.

Why are you simping for the Greens? You are meant to be an impartial news source, paid for by the taxpayers.

The ABC is hostile to the LNP, tolerant of Labor and cosy with the Greens Never any criticism of the Greens from Aunty,
