Labor has used Senate Question Time to further prosecute the government over the controversial sports grants programme and the auditor-general’s finding that the Coalition splashed cash in marginal seats.
When asked about the controversy, both Senate leader Mathias Cormann and Sports Minister Richard Colbeck used the ‘reverse pork-barrelling’ defence that Bridget McKenzie lifted funding in Labor electorates. Minister Cormann claimed Labor should be “grateful” for the intervention and be proud of the programme.
Did anyone ask about healthcare schools cost of living unemployment the real mums and dads questions.

Sorry Mr Coleman and you Mr Morrison but the defence being tabled that Labour are hypocritical because they did the same is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Two wrongs don’t make what your government did was right it was not, MORE heads should roll. Arrogant cheats should fall on their swords!!!
No it is not true all allocated funds went to eligible recipients as some had not even applied for funds by the deadline, so the governments position is a LIE. In addition being eligible but not recommended is not a suitable defender to deflect answering questions , SHAME!!!
The government CAN NOT defend the sport tort saga, that is why it is trying to distract by hitting back, that is why it tries to hide behind all bids being eligible, that is why Ministers continue to avoid and deflect answering questions to justify the allocation of our money!!!!

Get rid of sports grants all together. I saw on another post that Albo’s electorate received money for swimming pool which I think Is a bit rich considering it’s not a working class suburb I’d expect Blacktown should have got that money it’s Labor as well
