Govt brings 108 travellers from New Caledonia amid deadly riots

The Royal Australian Air Force has brought back more than 100 Aussies, Canadians and Americans from New Caledonia after riots broke out at the start of last week.More than 100 travellers from Australia, Canada and the United States were flown from New Caledonia to Brisbane by the Royal Australian Air Force after riots erupted across the country last week.

“We will continue to work with partners to support the departure of all Australians who want to leave,” Ms Wong wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday. He went on to say he'd been trying to get on a repatriation flight but it was now a matter of waiting."DFAT instructed us to stay in our hotel rooms -‘Ready to go at moments notice, do not leave and just be ready’.
