Source:Governor-General David Hurley's diary makes no mention of the five times he handed extra ministerial powers to then-prime minister Scott Morrison.

Greens senator David Shoebridge said Mr Hurley needed to clarify whether the decision not to disclose the appointments was his or Mr Morrison's. Some inside Labor are mulling whether Mr Hurley needs to go, while Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has kept the focus on his predecessor. Likewise, on 30 March, when Mr Morrison was given power as finance minister, Mr Hurley's diaries don't reference it.

Because it wasn’t an issue.

Why doesn't the SBS reporters ask the government why they are obsessed with the past instead of getting on with governing the country like the said they will.

And......moving on!

Yes clearly this is a more important issue than cost of living and homelessness

Meanwhile thousands of Australians continue to live on the streets, in cars or tents. The cost of living continues to rise & supermarkets have many empty shelves. People are experiencing severe mortgage stress & let's not forget that China is buying the Solomon Islands.

Not very an important moment for the GG how very monarchy like

Ok - let’s have a daily, no secrets and full disclosure of every meeting and conversation AlboMP has from today.

Let’s compare his dairy for the days he swore Albo’s ministers in, with these “secret” ones for Scomo. If equally blank, no problem, but if not….. then, the GG has to go!

BORING BORING BORING

omission omission omission omission omission ,

That sounds like ScottyFromCorruption FederalICAC

The GG was appointed by Scomo .The GG was always Scomo's man. And proved himself to be many times.

Hurley also missed all the war crimes under his watch, and the suicides. He has a habit of being absent when it matters.

Its Kerr all over again. This is evidence of guilty conscience, and intent to hide the information. Are other ministerial appointments by Hurley not recorded in his diary? Our democracy depends on having a GG with INTEGRITY.

On behalf of HRH the GG has a duty. He subverted his duty to appease Morrison and deceive us.

Let’s face—Hurley is *USELESS*. The one time the country genuinely needs him to do something- he does nothing. He could have said to Morrison in the 5th occassion- “I’m putting this and the other 4 in my daily announcements- or do you want to announce it instead?”

Bye bye Hurley untenable

Perhaps the GG had 18 million reasons to forget about it? I hope this investigation continues.

Unlike our compromised ABC, SBS reports the facts without trying to include a Labor factional fight angle 🙄 We need focus on the actual, dire, issue at hand - Scott Morrison's secret, shadow government & the GG's involvement. Thanks SBS.

Clearly $18m in taxpayers money can cause serious amnesia.

The GG needs to saddle up his swag and giddy-up out town pronto before he is run out.

This is another reason to become a Republic. AlboMP

Lol, their continuing hiss and screech is hilarious.

Morrison needs a pay rise

Secret ministerial deeds trash Scott Morrison’s legacyThe former prime minister’s defence of secretly backing up the health and finance ministers doesn’t pass muster. And ghosting Treasury, Home Affairs and Resources was just plain abuse. Knew this would be fanboy Coorey when I saw the headline. His legacy is a narcissistic egotistical autocrat. Coorey was so far up him and now shocked at reality. The civil servants behind this should be fired ASAP too Yup, it is like saying 'I want to stop a single point of failure from pandemic by creating another single point of failure'. Such strategy wont cut it for any BCP (Business Continuity Plan), let alone a proper one.
