It followed comments she made last month that the government's controversial $250 million council grants program may have shored up Coalition votes and that pork barrelling was "not illegal"."If we don't like the way we do things, let's all go in and collectively change it. We have to be honest about our system," she said on Tuesday.

The Premier was speaking at a lunch hosted by the Corporate Club Australia in an interview with journalist Chris Bath.NCA NewsWire "You make election commitments, you make commitments to particular areas. I mean, it would have been dishonest for me to say otherwise," she said."You ban all commitments... and then you'd argue why you need the government to make decisions. You could have the public service base everything on their decisions."
