Sky News host Alan Jones says the idea vaping could become illegal without a prescription under the grounds it may be defined as a drug of abuse is an appalling justification on the government’s part.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration on Wednesday will hand down a draft of guidelines in relation to vaping nicotine liquid, it is expected the federal Coalition will classify vaping as a drug of abuse. This would mean vaping nicotine liquid will be illegal without a prescription and those who are found in possession without a prescription would be prosecuted. “Whatever you might think of vaping, I find that kind of justification appalling,” Mr Jones said.

“The loser in this is the vaper who will return to being a smoker. “The winner is the government, which makes far more money from smokers than tobacco companies.” Mr Jones spoke with Emeritus Professor Ross Fitzgerald about the issue. “The evidence strongly suggests that actually – up to now – the most successful way to stop people smoking cigarettes is vaping,” Professor Fitzgerald said.

Meanwhile Nicorette products are free availible in supermarkets and it`s producer pays Hunt`s luxury afterworkdinners. Now count 1 and 1 togheter. The 9 doctors, who are willing to give prescrections, need to write 111 in one hour with a 40 hours week and NO vacation. Insane

Alan Jones is illegal. Every breath is a sin!

There is no justification for it. Just a way to funnel money from small business into the hands of big pharma and big tobacco. Nothing to see here. Making the most successful antismoking method on the planet harder to get is soooo about your health. And the cheeldren of course.

Vaping is shit , Made me cough & felt like my lungs were full of moisture.. Taste like shit , no cheaper the tobacco.. Vapes stuff up regularly. Chemicals are the same or much more toxic then tobacco.. I feel better,, Went back to tobacco..

At least Victorians are seeing what a 'fascist, left-wing government looks like' | Sky News AustraliaFormer Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says Victoria, with its lockdowns and restrictions, is “seeing what fascism looks like”.\n\n It comes as the Andrews government is expected to introduce sweeping new powers for public servants, giving them the authority of authorised officers with the ability to indefinitely detain Victorians. \n\nThe bill, which will last until April 2021, gives officers the power to detain people whom they perceive to be a high-risk person (either with COVID-19 or a close contact) and who refuses to comply with health directives.\n\n“You have no freedom of movement after 9 pm now, and between 5 am, so your freedom is restricted,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray.\n\n“Movement is restricted to 5k from your house.\n\n“You’re restricted in who you can visit. You can’t practice your religion. You can only go to funerals in certain numbers.\n\n“People are being arrested in their homes. Pregnant women are arrested in their homes for incitement. You can’t practice free speech.\n\n“And now, you are having people who are not police officers being given the power to arrest people.\n\n“This is a shocking state of affairs in Victoria.\n\n“And now people are seeing what it’s like to have a really fascist left-wing government, and that’s what we have in Victoria, quite frankly.”\n Lol you’re seriously wheeling out Kroger? 😂😂😂 Is it really? Fascists seized power violently in Spain & Italy. Hitler tried that route in Germany, failed & then won an election. All three countries suspended human rights & placed people in arbitrary detention & killed many. Germany killed millions. Dumb comparison.

'\n I have to watch Australian news to get the real American news. Thank you for your reporting. Why is Sky News giving a platform to fringe crazies like Liz Storer? auspol
