The first piece of the 100-metre high Sky Deck at the Star Entertainment Group’s $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf casino complex in Brisbane has been lifted into place in a five-hour operation overnight.

Queensland Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman will receive a report into Star’s measures to control money laundering and possible criminal activityMeanwhile, construction crews employed by Star in Queensland forged ahead with a five-hour operation to lift a 175-tonne piece of structural steel into place to begin the 250-metre wide Sky Deck.

“I anticipate it being the most photographed location in Brisbane, with a 250-metre open air rooftop runway of bars, restaurants and unprecedented views for up to 1500 people.”
