Around 1:35pm, police were alerted to the drifting vessel around 13km east of the Seaway after another vessel noticed the craft and no rider in its vicinity.
Police launched a multi-agency land, sea and air search to locate a 54-year-old Labrador man who is believed to be the missing rider.A seven-year-old Perth girl has drowned in a river north of the city after going missing during a day trip with her family. Local residents searched for the child and found her body floating in Moore River. Her family were visiting the area on a day trip.Meanwhile, a search has been suspended overnight for a man missing in the Murray River in NSW.
