'Gearing up': Anti-Adani action to expand and spread, green groups say | p_hannam eastTMoore

Environmental groups warn Adani's Carmichael mine and the governments that support it face widespread and growing protests across the country after the company secured final approval for the Galilee Basin coal project.

"There is a climate emergency and any new coal project is going to face sustained and increasing opposition," John Hepburn, executive director of the Sunrise Project, said."We encourage people to base their opinion on the facts, and to conduct any protest activity legally and safely, without putting themselves or our employees at risk," she said.

Other groups, such as the Galilee Blockade, are preparing a mass protest in Brisbane in early August, and is already conducting non-violent protest training along the lines of the recent Extinction Rebellion that shut down central London for days at a time.

p_hannam eastTMoore Because it’s worked so well so far...

Adani gets down to work as protests across the nation continueAdani has confirmed works are in progress at its Carmichael site as protesters vow to maintain the rage against the company's newly-approved thermal coal mine. The leftists are a joke: they try to destroy any industry that can provide jobs and security for the future of regional Australia, they want to stop development, they want to force people to pay more for electricity and water. Why continue to protest. The locals voted and overwhelmingly rejected the ALP/Green argument for not allowing the mine. The QLD Labor government approved it because it’s scare of being voted out. Stop respect the vote. 'Maintain the rage'.

Saudis back 'rapid and decisive' action over tanker attacksIran summons the British ambassador after London backed the United States' conclusion that Iran attacked two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman. Odds the attack was actually made by the USA or Saudi Arabia on their behalf are very high Oh gee. I am surprise. Much big surprise I am. America these days starts wars by scoring an own goal and then blaming it on the other team.
