Great Ocean Road at risk from surging seaNew research points to sea level rise as a factor in the erosion threat to the Great Ocean Road. pauloliver9999 Ha Ha, So the Scientists are saying that we have never in the Earths history had erosive effects by the Ocean on the InterTidal zone . Build a bridge the hugs the edge of the current great ocean road and is over the water Rising seas? What crap! It is a myth, by any measure. Erosion is a natural phenomenon which can be controlled by proper engineering, but it's not cheap. I have lived on the water for the last 7 years, with NO rise, except normal tidal fluctuations.
