This reeks of Murdoch having a hissy fit at the Feds, and given he is their gravy train to power, they will do his bidding. Hypocrites.

so if the search engine companys' shut down australia's search engines how are businesses & govt depts suppose to do their jobs(many apps attached) & us users supposed to use anything associated with the internet? will the govt create their own so we will have a govt internet.?

And avoiding tax you moron

So hang on; trying to get big business to pay taxes - no!!!! But control them into doing LNP bidding, yes?!? Seriously, LNP is up to some dystopian shit right here! corruptLNP media MediaCode

You LNP clowns seemed pretty ok with mining companies moving goal posts when it suited you during the mining tax debate JoshFrydenberg

Media companies have NO RIGHT to demand to know googledownunder 's propriety algorithm technology. NO RIGHT. Why is ScottMorrisonMP and JoshFrydenberg interferring in two private companies? If media companies are failing then maybe do better journalism and less propaganda

I've read the Q&A on the ACCC and something I still do not understand: How can including content in a search index be considered as reproducing the content? And if it is: why are only news organizations getting the benefit? So many other things google indexes

Just goes to show how deep Murdoch’s grip on the LNP is. They’re prepared to lose Google to appease him.

Why is Frydenberg fighting for Murdoch? Oh, that’s right...

Fancy that... companies looking after their bottom line and not concerned about appeasing Murdoch.

Back in the Red Frydenberg the man who has let big business Rort job keeper Frydenberg has no credibility

Not a disservice. Let them go!
