Four children, aged three, five, six and eight, were thrown from the jumping castle when a strong gust of wind caused it to become airborne.A three-year-old girl, a five-year-old boy and a six-year-old boy were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead with non-life-threatening injuries.
A fourth child, an eight-year-old girl, was treated at the scene but did not require hospitalisation."We would like to give our sincere apologies to the family whose children were involved in today’s [jumping] castle accident," they said. "Us as parents are absolutely heartbroken by this tragedy and we advise we have been in touch with the family and will endeavour to give them our 100 per cent support wherever needed."Credit:The Mamones, who purchased the business in January, thanked those who attended for understanding why the market had to close while emergency services attended the accident."We hope everyone enjoyed the day and can see why we were closed for such a long period of time.
On Sunday afternoon a spokeswoman for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead said the two boys had been discharged, but the three-year-old girl was still in hospital in a stable condition.
