Thousands of documents, including invoices, orders and banking information of the parent company of a handful of major food brands were leaked online via an unprotected database.

Australian meat pie, sausage roll and pastie maker Patties Food Group is the latest company caught in a data leak, with thousands of documents including invoices, orders and banking information made available online via an unprotected database.

“The documents identified vendors, contacts, emails and banking information such as account numbers, invoice amount, supplier number, supplier name, invoice number, invoice amount, approval code, employee names and more.” Lupica said an audit and investigation had found the files were not downloaded or backed up by external parties. He said the incident had been referred to the Australian Cyber Security Centre.

“We take cybersecurity extremely seriously and are working closely with ProvenioAI to ensure all data remains secure.
