A former police officer has been identified as one of two people killed in a fatal crash in Brisbane's Legacy Way tunnel on Wednesday afternoon.The ABC understands Mr Daley retired from the police service 10 years ago.A 24-year-old woman from the Northern Territory, who was a passenger in the Mazda, was also declared dead at the scene.
He said police had seized CCTV vision from inside the tunnel which would help determine the nature and cause of the crash. "Investigators will do all they can to try and figure out what exactly has happened in this tragic loss of life and find answers for those families who lost loved ones," he said. "Every life lost on our road is a tragedy and we continue to implore drivers to practice patience and be aware of their surroundings especially considering the long weekend coming up.
