Former NSW treasurer Michael Costa has called for a “proper inquiry” into the states’ response to the coronavirus and their varying lockdown restrictions labelling the reaction “inconsistent, full of contradictions, no scientific basis”. Mr Costa said the frustration of Australian businesses is real and “requires a proper policy response from the government”. It comes as Rugby Australia announced it has axed more than 40 per cent of its staff.
