Scott Morrison is being warned against playing “footsie” with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation auspol | CroweDM

Prime Minister Scott Morrison is being warned against playing "footsie" with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation in a growing row over whether to put the minor party last on Liberal and National how-to-vote cards at the federal election.

Mr Barnett said any agreement with One Nation was "fraught with danger" for the Liberals because it drove some voters to Labor and led to constant questions during the election campaign over support for Senator Hanson."The lesson from the Western Australian election would be don’t do a deal with One Nation," Mr Barnett said."My view is it probably cost us half a dozen seats. WA was used as a bit of a trial to see how a deal with One Nation would go.

Liberals also warned of a federal repeat of the experience at the Queensland state election, when Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls and the Liberal National Party refused a state-wide deal with One Nation but put the far-right party ahead of Labor in most seats. The treatment of One Nation has created a political storm in the wake of the Christchurch terror attack and the debate on how politicians and the media have fuelled racism, with a focus on Senator Hanson’s warnings about Islam and her call for an end to Muslim migration.

CroweDM Ha! What Barnett isn’t saying is that he would have lost anyway. It took 8 years but the electorate finally realised what an incompetent wastrel Barnett was. He threw away our mining money and did nothing but build self-serving monuments. An absolute loser.

CroweDM The people have already made up their mind on One Nation and the LNP. Call the election!

CroweDM It’d likely help LNPQLD in QLD!

Political forces unite to reject far right and deny One Nation preferencesExclusive: A series of powerful political campaigns will seek to defeat far-right candidates at the federal election auspol Narrow minded bigotry and xenophobia can only be weeded out with deliberate opposition and zero tolerance Does this also include Michael 'Asians are taking our jobs' Daley? Traditionally I'm a major party supporter, but if our politicians try to shut One Nation down I will change my vote just to make sure this party exists for the sake of political freedom and freedom of speech.

Political forces unite to reject far right and deny One Nation preferencesThe fortunes of the far-right have depended in the past on preference deals with the major parties. Similar arrangements are now off the agenda. Well it's about time And the far Left that inhabit our schools and universities? And of course the Vic Premier and his party. I used to live in these silos of education. Lets hope the far left get the same treament. Aus needs to maintain the middle of the road political climate and get on with what really matters - fixing child poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, the hospital/aged care/educaation systems & wages.
