The Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission investigation into Jackie Trad's role in the selection of a principal for a Brisbane high school still under construction finds she has no criminal case to answer.

Queensland's former deputy premier Jackie Trad has been cleared by the state's corruption watchdog after an investigation into her involvement in the selection of a school principal.

Ms Trad was investigated by the Crime and Corruption Commission after the Liberal National Party raised concerns she hadMs Trad resigned from cabinet in May after the CCC confirmed it was examining the allegation. The CCC found there was "no prima facie case" that Ms Trad had committed a criminal office, or that she was motivated by any dishonest or corrupt intent.

However, it also found "the nature of her involvement in DoE [Department of Education] decision-making created a corruption risk".

This is a big story. She still faces a tough battle in her seat. She's a fighter though.

Not before Murdoch defamed her.

So who was behind the slur campaign?

Oh well, it is Qld & we shouldn’t expect anything more. Wording is carefully crafted to say there is a case, was intent to corrupt and yet cost and without direct personal benefit gained is why we didn’t go ahead. Classic ‘Corrupt Politician’ outcome...

'However, it also found 'the nature of her involvement in DoE [Department of Education] decision-making created a corruption risk'.' - Strangely left hidden in the article.

'There's no evidence': Barilaro denies sabotaging Liberals' Eden-Monaro campaign | Sky News AustraliaThe NSW Deputy Premier has denied reports he is asking Nationals supporters to preference Labor above the Liberals at this Saturday's Eden-Monaro by-election.\n\nClaims surfaced on Thursday suggesting John Barilaro was privately pushing Eden-Monaro voters to direct their Nationals preferences towards Labor, in the hope the Opposition retained the seat and he could stand as a Nationals candidate at the next Federal Election. \n\nMr Barilaro flatly rejected the suggestion, saying 'that article in itself said there was no evidence'. \n\n“We’ve got a how-to-vote card and you can’t make it any clearer - it says ‘one Trevor Hicks and two to the Liberal Party,' he said. \n\nThe NSW Nationals leader also defended his intentions, saying “I chose not to run in this election, I had every opportunity to run in this election and I ruled it out”. \n\nSaturday's by-election is expected to go down to the wire, with Anthony Albanese playing down expectations of a Labor win ahead of the poll. \n\nShould Labor become the first Opposition to lose a seat to a Government in a by-election in 100 years, it's likely questions will be asked of Mr Albanese's leadership. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia WE ARE IN A RECESSION- A record 1.4 million desperate Australians are relying on food banks to put dinner on the table as RECESSION bites - SMH. Defence plan makes it clear we must prepare for risk of armed conflictThe government has recognised a rapidly worsening horizon of risk and knows it can no longer defer hard choices about what the Australian Defence Force is for. I'm pretty sure that is the reason why we have a defence force in the first place. The real question is - what is the appropriate force structure that we should be developing? Sure beats being unprepared! And for having our bums kicked if we even dream of taking on China
