Footage of schoolgirl girl struck by car sparks debate

The girl had been waiting on the side of a busy road during school hours and video shows her make a sudden dash between cars. She’d attempted to cross the street as the traffic had slowed in one direction and cleared on the other side of the road.

But while the girl may have been able to slip between two stationary vehicles in one lane, cars had meanwhile been passing through another lane on the left, which the schoolgirl hadn’t been able to see. Moments before she is struck by a sedan, she sees the car coming towards her, but she’s unable to escape being clipped and thrown to the ground.Picture: Dash Cam Owners AustraliaThe incident occurred in Ringwood in Victoria according to, however Victoria Police could not confirm this to news.com.au as the accident was not reported to police.
