Footage of musician David Foster labelling his American Idol star wife, Katharine McPhee, as “fat” has resurfaced online, after it was posted online earlier this year. The pair were performing in concert together when Foster, 74, shocked the audience by calling McPhee, 40, “fat” while she was a contestant on American Idol back in 2006.
McPhee attempted to brush off the comments, saying “I was a little chubby, OK? I was just young”. The interaction shocked the internet after the video surfaced online, especially given Mcphee had previously been open about her struggles with eating disorders. “I wonder what he says and how he treats her in private if he can be so bold and disrespectful in public,” one person said. “He’s revolting,” said another. “Well that was totally ignorant, Shallow little man,” said a third.
