South Australia's border closure has been tightened to now shut out even more Victorians as the state looks to continue avoiding any major COVID-19 outbreaks.
From 12.01am on Friday, cross-border residents in South Australia and Victoria are no longer be permitted to enter the other state unless for the following reasons:Transporting by private vehicle a person who is undertaking year 11 or 12 studies Undertaking agricultural/primary industry work at a Victoria/South Australia location situated near the border
People approved to cross the Victoria/SA border must not travel further than 40km into the other state; anyone approved to cross the NSW/SA border must not travel more than 50km into the other state. Those with permission to cross must not visit any other location other than for the approved purpose and must wear a protective face mask where social distancing is not possible.- National and State Security and Governance- Compassionate grounds
