An alleged cocaine drug ring spanning two states has been uncovered by New South Wales and South Australian police, leading to the arrests of five people.A man and a woman were arrested in New South Wales after allegedly being found in possession of cocaineThe drug ring was uncovered in a joint operation between New South Wales and South Australian police

Search warrants were executed at three properties, two in Guildford and another in Granville. More drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.Police said they would allege in court the man was involved in supplying large commercial quantities of cocaine on several occasions between July and October this year.About 1:15pm on Wednesday, a third search warrant was executed in conjunction with South Australia Police at a home in Greenacre.

In South Australia, there were a further three arrests, including a 39-year-old NSW man who was charged with seven aggravated counts of trafficking controlled drugs.He was expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates court, along with a 46-year-old man who was charged with four aggravated counts of trafficking controlled drugs.He was granted bail and was expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on December 4.

"These positive, collaborative policing relationships help protect the wider public from the damage that is caused by illicit drug use and those that seek to profit from the misery of others," he said.
