After being brought to Australia after the Vietnam War, Dr Indigo Willing went on to set up a network to help other adoptees reconnect with their community. She would also found another group in which people could be themselves: skaters MyAustralia

In 2000, she set up Adopted Vietnamese International - a network to help adopted refugees around the world reconnect with their community and their families.“[Now] we have over 1,000 members and every day, they will come and say hi. Maybe they’re looking for family, maybe they’re going back to Vietnam for the first time.”

Indigo had the chance to return to Vietnam but has had no success in tracking down the identities of her biological parents. Indigo received a doctorate from the University of Queensland in 2010 and is a lecturer in Sociology at Griffith University. But she wasn’t confident enough to pick up a board and skate in the park’s heavily male-dominated environment. It was only after she had her son and he started school, that she picked up the board in her free time and learnt to skate.

Perth woman who fatally stabbed partner in argument over loud music says she had no other choiceTracey Bridgewater testifies at her manslaughter trial, saying she made an automatic decision when she stabbed her partner during a violent family argument. this is boomer level clickbait 🤦🏻‍♂️ I think the argument over loud music is less pertinent than this part: 'Josephs was stabbed in the chest after violent argument which included him throwing Ms Bridgewater across a room, throwing her mother by the hair to the floor and strangling and repeatedly punching father.' Incorrect headline .... disappointed! ... expect this from not abc ...
