Australia's first national advocacy program for survivors of sexual, domestic and family violence is launching today, with ambassadors including consent activist Chanel Contos.

"Really what it is about is supporting people with lived experience to influence change," Full Stop Australia CEO Hayley Foster told nine.com.au. Out of it was born Teach Us Consent, which is lobbying the federal government to include consent in the sex education curriculum around the country."I feel it's a really important program and I was very much thrown into the limelight," she told Nine.com.au from London.Consent activist Chanel Contos is an ambassador for the program.

Another ambassador is Rachael Natoli, who founded the charity the Lokahi Foundation after her own experience of domestic violence. When she left, she said her caseworker recommended by a local domestic violence group was pivotal in her becoming independent again, but when Ms Natoli moved suburbs she was told to find new support."I thought, what if everyone had someone like her they could have with them as long as they needed … what if it didn't matter if you moved?"

"I am never going to be that person I was again. He took something from me that I will never be able to get back I have PTSD, I have IBS from the stress, at the same time I have two beautiful children.

International passenger flights from Victoria take off for first time since March 2020The first international passenger flight from Victoria in more than 18 months will take off on Monday after the state recorded 1,029 cases of COVID-19 overnight. It might be the 1st Qantas flight but it isn't the 1st international flight. Stupid headline. There's a lot more to international flying than Qantas. So what you want me to do, jump for joy, sing the symphony. I got more major issues to worry about then singing praise because a f….plane took off. We certainly have our priorities right.

Surprising absence in Ten’s new 2022 promoTen has released a new promo to hype its 2022 program slate – with one of its most high-profile stars conspicuously absent. Wow, you certainly like to promote self created gossip over real news. If she’s smart it’s accurate … I’d jump ship from this program it’s purile ..the constant interjections of what’s supposedly meant to be humour is pathetic & cringe worthy And 80% of the “presenters” using that title loosely are extraneous waste with zero worth saying😒

Desperate measures: Morrison in danger of misjudging what Australians think is importantOpinion: Scott Morrison began with a statement of disapproval ... then, he went on. His answer to the question about violence took him 80 words. There were 300 words after that. The PM is in danger of misjudging what Australians think is important | ... Women protesting violence: 'They're lucky not to be shot' Kids protesting govt inaction on climate: 'Children should be at school getting an education, not out on the streets protesting' Gallows wielding far right right wackos: 'We've got to understand their frustrations' JJKALE2 To Morrison, only his corrupt crime regime and the QAnon white supremacists and the Pentecostal Rapture fiends are Australians. The rest of us don’t exist. “Don’t forget, either, that the vast majority of Australians are vaccinated, and want others to be vaccinated; they might not be happy with a leader who seems just fine with those who choose not to get the jab.”
