Halves Solution,Mitchell Moses,Left-Field Solution

NRL: Could Mitchell Moses line up for NSW without playing for the Eels due to injury? James Hooper believes so given the Blues injuries.

Michael Maguire has backed Mitchell Moses to play Origin I without a club game under his belt, but Phil Gould has thrown a left-field solution to the Blues halves dilemma in the mix.

The only place to watch every game of every round LIVE with no ad-breaks during play is Fox League, available on Kayo. New to Kayo?“I’ve heard he wants Mitchell Moses to be in the side even if he doesn’t come back and get a game leading into Origin, which I have got to say surprises me,” Hooper said.

“There is a lot that would agree that he is the next best No.7, but there is a lot that would disagree that with no game leading into Origin and the significant time that he had out and the injury,” Anasta said.“With an injury like that, you don’t even know how it will go until you get out there and put it under first grade intensity physicality.James Graham agreed it is tough to know how the injury will respond to game intensity.

Hooper believes Maguire has spoken to Moses, but the Eels are wary of pushing their prized asset to return in Origin. “I’ve got a loyalty to Luai and Burton and if I was coaching, that’s who I would go with. I wouldn’t hesitate.”“My gut tells me if both those blokes are fit … I’d have no hesitation in picking him for the game,” Gould said.

“If you were Paramatta, would you be saying, hang on, we’ve just missed you for seven weeks? We’re three from nine. We’re down the bottom,” Ritchie said.
