The fine imposed on Dreamworld's parent company, Ardent Leisure, for workplace breaches that led to the deaths of four people in 2016, pales in comparison to other corporate penalties, an expert says.However, the fine is small compared to other corporate finesover the deaths of Luke Dorsett, Kate Goodchild, Cindy Low and Roozi Araghi, who were killed when their Thunder River Rapids ride raft collided with another.
"If you were to go back and look at what's been handed out in relation to workplace deaths, you would find that this is at the top end of the penalties," he said.

Its not the fines that will hurt Ardent Leisure and Dreamworld. But rather the trust of the public will take more from their profits than any fine could. As long as they learnt from this tragedy, then I would still be a customer.
