Weather extremes are currently playing out across Australia's east coast with Victoria, parts of New South Wales and South Australia affected. 9News

Almost all of Victoria is under an extreme weather warning as wild conditions continue to sweep across the country.Meanwhile Victoria and South Australia are bracing for a day of damaging winds, showers and thunderstorms.

A severe weather warning issued by the Bureau of Meteorology sees Victoria covered by a yellow swathe. "Westerly winds averaging 40-60km/h with gusts to 100km/h are possible over western districts of Victoria, extending eastwards during the day," it wrote. "The risk is highest near the coast and over elevated terrain. Squally showers and thunderstorms are also possible with locally damaging gusts."A Day on the Green was held at Mt Duneed Estate on Saturday despite heavy rain, leaving hundreds of cars bogged.Meanwhile, parts of Sydney will climb to 29C today with gusts of hot westerlies up to 50km/h due to sweep through.

That's prompted the Rural Fire Service to implement a high fire danger warning, stretching from the Blue Mountains, to the Northern Beaches.Parts of New South Wales will face some of the worst fire conditions in months.
