ANALYSIS: Federal politicians are talking but it's unclear if voters are listening

Political campaigns are scripted within an inch of their lives in an effort to ensure the key messages of the day cut through to voters.

But if the first few days of the federal election are anything to go by, getting those messages to an electorate that is largely not listening is set to be a battle that political parties are having to encounter. But voters here are fresh off a state campaign and, in many cases, appear to have had their more than their dose of political messaging for 2019.Find out how your views compare to Australia's major political parties. Simply answer a few questions via Vote Compass."Oh no, here he comes," a Queensland cafe-goer remarked as Prime Minister Scott Morrison headed in her direction, unimpressed her Sunday morning outing had been engulfed by a political circus.

The federal campaign is barely days old and yet already the contenders are lining up to put their stamp on memorable moments.

No point in listening to lies and promises to be broken.

And you're the cause - flooding every media with their crap so we just turn off.

Oh well, to make sure that voters are listening, our federal politicians could organize a national hearing check up... but what if some can't even see or read everything what they are talking about?

Political scripts are aimed at sub 100 IQ. Those above a 100 are already informed

Maybe we're just remembering? Libs - $144 BILLION to corporates $90 BN to Big Mining $56 BN annually to rich $443m to dodgy Reef group ... and Parakeelia

Russia and China are the biggest threats to the world at present. Worse than the Middle East (at least it is imploding and not expansionist). Ignore them both.

'Voters can pick a phoney': The downside of Morrison's campaign disciplineWith everything at stake for the Coalition, Morrison can’t afford a bad off-hand remark or photo. |OPINION Like not using English but Chinese to greet an Asian women only to discover she was Korean. I know the media need to make the LNP sound competitive in this campaign to keep readers clicking but the public know it's going to be a wipe out and Labor will win. Yep ALP AND GREENS.

We recievd applications for postal votes and how to vote with liberal candidate in the mail yesterday. That mail was VERY quick to arrive straight after an election was announced!!! Seriously, is there a photo in existence where Abbott does not look creepy?
