Federal government weighs its options after students detail disturbing allegations against Opus Dei-affiliated schools

Premier Dominic Perrottet called on the NSW Education Standards Authority to investigate Tangara School for Girls and Redfield College after being informed of the allegations before Four Corners' broadcast on Monday.

They said they were told that watching pornography caused holes in the brain, were discouraged from getting a life-saving cancer vaccine, and described textbooks from the curriculum with pages ripped out or redacted.Former students also said they were made to watch videos and attend speaker sessions where they are told that masturbation is mentally disordered behaviour.

Tangara School for Girls said it now provides information to students about the HPV vaccine which is in line with accepted medical advice, and textbooks are not redacted. "We have put in place strict policies and procedures to deal with victimisation or bullying … [and] also work closely with families of students who identify as LGBTIQ to provide additional support as needed", the schools said.Since Monday's broadcast, many more students have come forward to Four Corners alleging similar experiences.

I went to school with this gentleman and can attest none of what is stated is true. Does the ABC bother to interview witnesses before making wild claims? Why does it only interview those who want to push their agenda?

Federal government is considering whether or not to release students details to the media so they don't complain... Robodebt

RationalWiki Might want to update your article on Opus Dei. (I couldn't, my contributions'd consist of opinions eclipsing the facts.)

Imagine trying to make Catholic students more Catholic.

Will the ABC and Louise Milligan get sued again for this?

These are not new. NOT new.

Funny how the left only want to attack one religion.

What is Opus Dei, and why is it so controversial — both in and out of the Catholic Church? While the group is known for its secrecy, this is far from the first time it has appeared in the headlines. And how did an Opus Dei zealot become Premier. After that softball interview on 7:30 with Bill Gates, I wouldn't trust you to pass a fortune cookie ABC. Nothing of any importance in my book .As much clout as the Coolgardie Surf Lifesaving Club . Nothing but a group that must obey Australian laws.
